1. On-the-Job training (AtoN) is training and familiarisation at an AtoN workplace at which the person will be employed. It includes training on the AtoN services provided, the facilities and equipment used as well as the local geography and appropriate regulations and other procedures.

2. On-the-job training (OJT) is training and familiarization at the VTS centre at which the person will be employed. It includes training on the purpose of the VTS, the VTS procedures, facilities and equipment used as well as the local geography and appropriate regulations and other procedures.
