Sound pressure level (in decibels)
Alternative term: S.P.L. (in decibels)
Twenty times the logarithm to the base 10 of the ratio of the sound pressure to the reference pressure (20 micronewtons per square metre or 2*10-4 microbar or 2*10-4 dyne per square centimetre).
