Strengthening Maritime Cooperation in the Americas

The Maritime Authority Suriname (MAS) and IALA have maintained a close and productive partnership for many years. Suriname has proudly hosted the only accredited IALA training organization on the American continent — a significant milestone in advancing maritime safety and professional development in the region. The Secretary-General was honored to be the keynotes speaker at the maritime open days in Paramaribo on 6 November. 
Together, we reaffirm our shared commitment to fostering regional cooperation, capacity building, and the continuous enhancement of maritime standards.
